Boards of Canada. Union Chapel, Islington, London.
30th January 2002.

I think this was a press-only launch party for Boards of Canada’s second album ‘Geogaddi’. Held on a freezing cold night in North London’s Union Chapel.

The album was played back loud in its entirety whilst projected kaleidoscopic images flickered in the church.

Only thing I remember was that it was bloody cold and I kept on getting up to go to the loo (overdid it on the cider I reckon).

As part of the press pack, we got given a cute little kaleidoscope, stickers and postcards. Which I then promptly left behind on the top deck of the 43 bus on the way home in my slightly inebriated state. Did I mention it was cold?
