The only time I ever caught Coil live but what a setting to catch them in. A full-on sensory experience which rendered me pretty much dazed and confused for days.
Sadly, couldn’t say the same for my friends who were with me who thought it was “dull as dishwater”. But I wouldn’t really trust what they have to say, I mean, one of them genuinely owns a Mumford & Sons record for f**k’s sake!
Anyway, this was part of the ‘Only Connect: Play’ series of events at the Barbican Centre. Plaid, Mouse on Mars and SND were also on the amazing bill.
