I’ve seen Jeff Mills plenty of times before and after this, but hands down, this was something special.
Just to see him up close doing his plate-spinning act was such a rush. And to see Peel and everyone else in awe only added to the atmosphere.
I remember a load of studio engineers all dancing in the corridor just outside studio doors. Especially when he abandoned the decks and went it at on the Roland TR-707 drum machine.
About as much fun as you can have in W9 without substances.
