EON Peel Session. BBC Maida Vale, London.

Another John Peel Session for BBC Radio 1 and this time it was EON (aka Ian Loveday) live and direct from Maida Vale.
Ian was an early techno pioneer that also crossed over into the world of rave. ‘Spice’ (which sampled David Lynch’s ‘Dune’) was the hit track and his debut album ‘Void Dweller’ still stands up today.
But for me, it’s the stuff he did with Baby Ford as Minimal Man that still sound timeless. Sadly Ian passed away in 2009.
This however was a joyous and frenetic session that really showed his mastery of the machines.
