Archived Gallery #032 —Progressive Form

Progressive Form, Pool Bar, Shoreditch.
19th September 2002.

Another ace venue that we frequented back in the day. The Pool Bar on Curtain Road, Shoreditch. I think the events were held on the lower ground floor which had a nice atmosphere to it and a half decent sound system.

Japan’s Progressive Form had made some impact on the scene with some welcome contributions to the then burgeoning ‘glitch’ sound.

Aoki Takamasa and Yoshihiro Hanno released some killer records and with the help of Nick Luscombe on DJ duties, they showcased the best in laptop generated music.

Everyone looked great too, except for me obviously. Still slightly out of my depth and way too eager. Nothing’s changed.
