And back to the cosy confines of BBC Studio MV4 for another Peel Session. This time a showcase for Berlin’s Kitty-yo label.
Never knew much about Jeans Team but I remember one track ‘Baby 3=1+2’ off their ‘Gold Und Silber’ single that I caned: a great little pop ditty with bleeps.
Whilst they give off an air of carefree abandon and fun with their music. Tarwater present a laser-focussed approach to theirs.
The duo of Ronald Lippok (brother of Robert and one-third of To Rococo Rot) along with Bernd Jestram have been lazily labelled as ‘post-rock’ but their sound spreads way beyond that genre. And live they were fierce.
