First time I ever saw Mike Paradinas play live was at Oscillate at Birmingham’s Que Club back in 1995.
Amusingly he was seated at a desk which had his Atari ST setup running Cubase including monitor.
He belted out a brilliant set that I still recall to this day, loaded with future classics and stuff from the debut ‘Tango ‘N Vectif’ album that came out a few years earlier on Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label.
And since then i always judge Mike’s performances by that yardstick. Unfair but I can’t help it.
Again, through the fog of time, i can’t recall this particular event and will need assistance as to who else played on the night.
